Book series READY-TO-READ

I introduce book series"READY-TO-READ".
This series are divided into four levels. Representative story of this series is "HENRY AND MUDGE"series. I like this two persons's story, but I am going to introduce about PEANUTS series.
PEANUTS is one of the famous stories in the world. It was animeted and was also broadcast in Japan. I was used to watch this anime.

1,  It's time for school, Charlie Brown

    Charlie Brown wasn't worried. He smiled. He took a deep breath. And he began to spell...  "M-A-Y-S!" Charlie Brown blew it! 
   In this book, Charlie Brown is main character. I like this picture, but words and grammar are difficult a little. So I sometimes don't understand flow of tale.

2,  Lucy's Advice

Even though Lucy knew a lot, she had one tough case. That case was Charlie Brown. She could not help him. Charlie Brown was too wishy-washy. No advice could change that.
In this book, Lucy is main character. She is so smart and saucy. I am not confident to make a friend with her. But she is envious, because she know how to make money.

3,  Take a hike, Snoopy!

The scouts had to see for themselves. They leaned over the side. "Be careful!" Snoopy warned Woodstock. "What would happen if you fell?"   "Nothing," Woodstock said. "We can fly!"
This book is an adventure by Snoopy and Woodstock. I was surprised to read this book, because I didn't know that there are many Woodstock. I knew only one Woodstock. I like Woodstock's carefree. To the point, I was surprised they had set up a Ferries wheel and a merry-go-round.

4,  Snoopy: Flying Ace to the Rescue

He was a World War Ⅰ Flying Ace. It was time for him to fight the great German pilot-the Red Baron!
Words of this book are too difficult for me to read, so I can't understand. But I was interested that characters were trouble in, because of Snoopy. As a result, I find that Snoopy is cute.

5,  Lose the Blanket, Linus!

"Are you going to carry it around for the rest of your life? When are you going to learn to stand on your own two feet?""What do you mean?" asked Linus. "I do not need my blanket! I can give up anytime I want to! Anytime!"
I like this story most of this five stories. I like blanket just like Linus, so I am empathic him. And, I was sad a little, because I must leave blanket someday. But Linus is great to like dirty blanket and I think that Linus should stop barking a finger.

The Mystery of Allegra

     I read "The Mystery of Allegra". Allegra is an unusual name. It means 'happy' in Italian, but the little girl in this story is sometimes very sad. Adrian,'I', is an English boy and tries to help this poor girl. I'll introduce important points with quotation. She was looking at me with big eyes, as blue as Italian sky in summer. Her blond hair was as bright as sunlight round her pale face.         This sentences is when Adrian met Allegra for the first time. He visited Italy with his parents on Holiday. They stayed a villa and he slept in a room different from his parents. Then, in night he met her. The reason I like this sentences is that it uses metaphors and easy to imagine her looks. Especially, I like "big eyes, as blue as Italian sky in summer". I have never visited Italy, but I can imagine sunny Italian sky. Rain, Rain, Rain!

"I don't like the rain. And it's raining today." She think, "I don't want to go to school." School starts at 9 o'clock. Now it's 8:20! This story is a girl who is likely to be late for school. She is a hurry,  but she can't use her bicycle, train and bus by  some accident.   It wonders if she get to school in time. I admire to this girl because she go to school by bicycle in the rain. If I am her, I will ask for my parents to take me to school. In the rain, road is wet and the view is wrong. Also, it is important to listen to other's advice .

San Francisco

  This week, I read “San Francisco”. This book has ten chapters, and they introduce San Francisco’s weather, history, tourist spot and shops. Although every chapter are interested, I will introduce my interesting chapters with quotation.   Chapter 3: From 1906 to the Summer of Love      This chapter is about modern San Francisco from 1906. 1906 is an important year for people and history in San Francisco. At 5.12 in the morning on Wednesday 18 April 1906, the earth suddenly began to move in San Francisco. ~The earth did not stop moving for forty-two seconds. It was a very big earthquake – one of the worst earthquakes in the world at that time.      I did not know they have experienced such a disaster. Because of this disaster, the fire continued to burn for four days, and more than three thousand men, women, and children died. When I read this number, I was so surprised. Even more surprising, in the year after the earthquake, San Francisco became a wonderful city again.   C
