The Phantom of the Opera
Today, I introduce sad love story. It is “The Phantom of the Opera”. It is famous story that has been made into a movie or stage. I knew the name and hole story. But I didn’t know last scene and who is the phantom. After reading it, I regret not having read it properly so far. I introduce interesting points with quotation. ‘I’m going to take you away, and marry you.’ This is in the scene which Christine and Raoul kissed for the first time. It is one of the most romantic scenes in this book, but I was interested in this sentence. I think that this sentence is kind of death flag. Death flag means that he is definitely going to die by saying or doing specific things. For example, ‘If I get back, please get married.’ And when someone cornered by the enemy, he says ‘please help me, I will give you as much money as possible.’ In many stories, character who says these sentences has a high probability of dying.
